It is a program of Capital Recovery Center, a non-profit Community Mental Health Agency that provides group mental health, one on one counseling, and housing services, as well as being home to the Downtown Ambassador Program. We get a portion of our funding from the City, yes, but we're no more "city-related" than any other non-profit that the city helps to fund. CRC also receives funding from state, local, federal, and private sources.

Also, I wouldn't necessarily categorize the Ambassadors as "homeless advocates," they provide a myriad of services in our Downtown, one of which happens to be outreach to marginalized populations. 'Community advocate' might be a term more in line with the breadth of their daily activities. If you ever want to do a walk around with them and the Clean Team, I'd love to help arrange that!

Thanks again for consistently shining light on the important issues!

Best,

Downtown Ambassador Program

Rob Richards / Program Manager
360.292.0565/ rob@capitalclubhouse.org

Downtown Ambassador Program
1000 Cherry Street Olympia, WA 98501
nwrecovery.org
Rob Richardsnoreply@blogger.com
